The story of your teacher

Today we are going to talk about one of the biggest legends ever! Nahh... Just kidding. Today, we are going to talk about my story.

Miguel López was born in 1999 in Granada, Spain. From a very young age, he always has been playing different sports. He started playing football as a goalkeeper for the school team and he was quiet good. However, his friends played basketball so, at the age of 7, your teacher started to play basketball in Jardín de la Reina school.

In High School, he started to play in the local team of a village, Churriana de la Vega, in Granada. The teacher played basketball until he had 16 years old, but 2 big injuries in his right knee made him to take the decission to stop playing basketball with the team.

However, he made a lot of friends because of basketball and now he enjoys making sports with them. He loves to play football, basketball, ping-pong, and more sports like trekking, for example. Thanks to sports, his life changed completely and that make him to take the decission to become a PE teacher in Primary School.

In this blog we have read about the story of legends of sports, and also about your PE teacher. Now is the moment for the world to read your story. Are you going to be the next one to appear in this blog! We will find out soon! We are waiting your story to be told.

Javier Fernández, an artist in the ice

Today, we are going to talk about Javier Fernández. He is a famous figure skater. Why am I going to talk about him today? Well, because nowadays is not normal to find a man practising this sport.

Born in Madrid in 1991, Javier was a unusal guy that enjoyed practising a sport that was considered for women. Nowadays, there is a big problem in the world of sports, we still consider many sports as sports for men or women. And here it's a big mistake. Sports are universal and we cannot judge anyone because of the sports that you practice.

And that's the reason why Javier Fernández has became a figure in our country, because with his Olympic Medals and World Championships he has proved that you can be succesful. He's a great example of fighting for your dreams. Sometimes  you can't listen anyone, because bad company can be really toxic for you.

The 1st person that you have to listen is yourself. You are going to need people to follow you in the road, but you have be your main support and you almost have to respect and support the decissions of your friends and the people that you love.

What about you? Have you ever listened about a men sport of a women sport? What do you think about that idea? As always, you can write your oppinion in the comment section down below. Have a wonderful day and enjoy sports!

Dani, you will never drive a Moto GP

The tittle is phrase that our main character heard thousand of times in his life. Today we are going to talk about Daniel Pedrosa. He has been a motordriver and a 3 time World Champion in lower categories of Moto GP.

When he was a child, the dream of Dani Pedrosa was to drive a Moto GP. But a lot of people told him that it was impossible and he shouldn't even to try. Do you know why? Well, Dani has always been too small. Because of that, Pedrosa wasn't very strong either. To drive a racing motorcycle, you need strength to move it. Do you want to know how tall is Dani Pedrosa? Is only 1,58 m tall!

However, this little person did everything to get his dream, to someday race in a Moto GP Grand Prix. This wasn't an easy road. During is career, Dani Pedrosa broke a lot of bones and got injured thousand of times. Any other person surely gave up after a lot of pain and suffering, but the only motivation of Pedrosa was to follow his dreams and he won 3 times the World Championship in other categories before Moto GP.

Finally, in the 2006 season, Dani Pedrosa ran for the 1st time in a Moto GP Grand Prix, finishing his race in the 5th position. He has runned for several year and he has finally taken part of the Hall of Fame of the Moto GP drivers.

We have to remember that in every single race, their lives are under danger because they are driving over 200 km/h! So that makes Dani Pedrosa a brave person despite of all the obstacles in his road. Ey! What about you? Have you ever done something that you considered dangerous? What do you think about extreme sports? Do you know any? Comment us down below!

As fast as you can: Lewis Hamilton

Well, if you are a fan of the Formula 1 you must have to know who is Lewis Hamilton. Born in 1985 in Great Britain. Nowadays (2020), Lewis is now a 7th time World Champion, having the same tittles as another legend in history of racing like Michael Schumacher. But in this post we are not going to talk about how talented he is or about how many races has he won (almost 100 if you want to know).

Today we are going to talk about someone that maybe you don't expect: his father. Wait, what? Yes, I'm going to talk about Anthony Hamilton. Maybe you don't know, but to be inside of the world of motorracing you need so much money, appart from talent. And money was something that the Hamilton family didn´t have. So, how did Lewis participate in the world of racing then?

Despite of the bad situation of the family, his father Anthony, thinking about his son Lewis and his dream of becoming a great driver someday, decided to get more than one work at a time. Sometimes he even worked 16 hours a day just for his son. His sacrifice  gave Lewis the opportunity to compete and to prove how talented he was. So after the years sponsors put dinero in Lewis so his father didn't need to work that hard anymore.
Finally in 2008, he made his debut in the Formula 1 and, as I always say, the rest is history. He's considered one of the best drivers to ever race in a F1 car, and he still has a lot of years to increase his amazing stats with AMG Petronas Mercedes, his actual team.

Lewis showed us that we have to fight for our dreams, but we can't make this road alone. And that's why Anthony has been that importan for him, because he always believed in his son and fought for his dreams. And... What about you? Do you have someone special that help you with your dreams? Do you think you can follow your dreams alone' How was your insipiration? Tell me in the comment section!

Lili Álvarez: a Story to remember

Today we are going to talk about Elia-María González-Álvarez y López-Chicheri, or also known as Lili Álvarez (much easier for us). (1905-1998). She was a Spanish-multisport competitor, an author, feminist and also a journalist.

Why are we going to talk about this woman today in this post? Well, you must have to know that Lili Álvarez was the 1st Spanish girl in the history that went to the Olimpic Games! Maybe you can think that is not something to be impressed but... What if I tell you that this happened less than 1 century ago!

Do you know the most interesting thing? She wasn't a sportwoman at all. She was also a know writter and journalist in Spain. However, during her free time, she loved to practice a lot of sports. She was specially good in of them: tennis, she played tennis very well.

So in 1924, in Chamonix (Switzerland), a Spanish girl participated for the first time in history in an Olimpic Games, in that case, the Olimpic Games of Winter of Chamonix. She participated in the sport of tennis. She did't win a medal, but her appearance there made history for us. Lili opened a door to thousand of girls that would be able to participate in Olimpic games, tournaments and sports in general where they were only ruled by men. She also practiced cycling, she flew by airplane and also drove F1 cars, so she was basically a revolutionary woman last century.

Nowadays, her life changed the history of our country, even the way that the society watched women here in Spain. Ey! What about you? Do you know an important woman that practise any sport? Did your mom practice any when she was younger? As always, comment us down below!

Today we are going to talk about one of the most famous boxers of all time, today we are going to talk about the story of Muhammad Ali. Born in 1942, the boxer was a important figure in the polithics of USA (we have to remember that in USA it was a big problem with racism) and also an idol for a lot of people, specially in the black and the muslim community.

When he was a child, his dream was to become a great boxer, from a very young age he dedicated most of his time to train and study.
